Welcome to the next generation of
gluten-free.
Our story
It all began with the idea that everyone should have a place at the table. And that each customer—created with dignity and goodness in the image and likeness of the Creator—was worth the very best.
The seed of Blue Flower bakery was planted years ago with a childhood diagnosis of celiac disease. It blossomed into Lily’s desire to bring others like herself back to the heart of celebration.
Anyone with food restrictions knows how isolating it can be to be excluded from a meal or celebratory dessert. Food is central to the seasons and cycles of life! Wheat is often the star of the show and the supporting cast for gatherings and holidays.
Someone with gluten restrictions has to make hard choices when in community; to politely decline or settle for unappetizing gluten-free options provided. It can be isolating and disappointing, especially as a child.
From potlucks to “Donut Sundays” to a night out on the town… there are often very few options.
The Blue Flower Difference
Lily knew that it is not just ingredients about which a celiac has to worry, but also cross-contamination from kitchens and cooking tools. She also knew how to do it right; and she set out on a mission not only to create safe options…
But beautiful, delicious, real food that all people can enjoy.
She has embarked on a mission to create bakery that is not only gluten-free, but also so good that no one will be able to tell the difference. No added seed oils. No corn syrup. Just quality and a lot of love.
Being a celiac-safe bakery is just the cherry on top.
I't’s hard to decide what we’re buying: delicious bakery, a wholesome snack, or a work of art. Actually, all three. Amazing!
